Whereas 33 wood pieces starts from the surface to define the interiority, Intraventricular left coring, 50 days distant to the automn equinox seeks to show specificity of the human being, that makes him unique, while registering it at the same time in the universal one.
A coring is a technique which makes possible to study the geological layers of the basement, by calibrated sampling that offers a reading of the last climatic or environmental influences. I take up here the scientific side of it.
I transpose this in reinvesting the surface with another type of lines, comparable with a kind of “emotional electrocardiogram” which would cover a 23 years period.
This rhythmic definition of the identity implies a phase of introspective reading, leading to a feeling-selection associated with event-keys, followed by a phase of externalization, a kind of encoding or graphic transposition. But, while it develops an autobiographical narrative process, this coring resounds at the same time with the regardor and its own experimentation reflects to him.
The generated form offers a certain rigour, as well in its rectilinear aspect as in its genesis, however the way of its show creates a space dynamics. For me, it was essential that the object can interact with space to deploys its all dimensions, physics and conceptual.
The carrying structure extends the coring, gives itself its upswing and extracts literally it from the basement, from the hidden, to reveal it within the space of exhibition…
