Anthropocene is defined as a new geological period, characterized by the advent of humans as the main force of change on Earth, surpassing geophysical forces.
It should be noted, however, that the term is not officially recognized to date, nor added to the scale of geological time, because it is considered inappropriate, anthropocentric or not founded by sufficient scientific evidence for many geologists.

Anthropocænae tabula [ i.e. : The book of Anthropocene, which could also be translated as The map of Anthropocene ] is an object made of copper sheets which are articulated like a book. These pages are cut according to the shape of the main continental blocks. Humans literally fold the world here, according to their good will, and also laugh at the geographical reality, to give a new representation : the emerging lands superimpose the ones to the others and simulate new chimerical and alternative spaces.

By the mix of ancient cartography, contemporary logos and Latin inscriptions, by the use of the nobility of the material to bring a certain preciousness to this object, Anthropocænae tabula evokes the medieval liturgical artifacts too, and invite us to question ourselves on this subject of scientific controversy, if not under a spiritual view, at least meditative... Unless it suggests, perhaps, the end of this Anthropocene, as an era already belonging to the past, at least as it has been defined until now...
